Children's Climbing Courses

Cannington Activity Centre runs a number of climbing courses for young people aged 8 - 16yrs.

Our courses run in term time and are available in blocks of between 5 and 7 weeks depending on the length of the term and are charged at £6.00 per 1½ hr session.

You need no experience to enrol, all you need is some strong shoes or trainers and suitable outdoor clothing.

Enrolment starts two weeks before the first session however you may be able to join at any point depending on space.

Give It A Go - Funding For Out of School Hours Learning.

Cannington Activity Centre is part of this exciting project which is aimed at children aged 5-16 who are eligible for free school meals and children in care.  If your child meets either of these criteria then they will be entitled to take part in these activities free of charge.

Adult Climbing Courses

Are you scared of heights? Conquer your fears.

Would you like to be able visit a famous landmark and be able to look over the edge or admire the view without your knees knocking and breaking into a panic?

Cannington Activity Centre have adult only courses that will help you to understand your fear, and in a safe environment begin to address why you are scared of heights and maybe you might then be able to take the first steps in controlling it.

In this safe environment you will be in a small group of people that all would like to understand this fear and want to be able to manage it. No-one will be asked to do anything they don't want to and it is ok even if you don't get your feet off the ground. For those that feel they have been empowered to take the first steps then our instructors will be there to support you all the way to the top.
